Donating items benefits the community in a number of ways: recycling means usable items can find a useful second life. Recycling also reduces the strain on the landfill; it allows others to improve their homes or fill a building need at a much reduced cost, and donations are eligible as a charitable donation. Best of all, donations will help the local Habitat raise funds to help people in the local community secure decent, affordable housing.
