Seasonal cleansing can help Habitat for Humanity build homes in Montezuma and Dolores counties

Seasonal cleansing, residents in Montezuma and Dolores counties can give their gently used goods a second life and help reduce waste in landfills by donating excess household items to Habitat for Humanity of Montezuma County ReStore (HFHMC ReStore). Whether to make room for a new chair or a brand new kitchen, Habitat ReStore accepts items ranging from appliances and building products to furniture, home goods, and household fixtures such as lighting and cabinets.

Donated items can be brought to 6786 Hwy 491/160 Wednesday through Saturday, 10:00 A.M -3:00 P.M. To schedule a pickup for larger items, please call 970-565-8327 or email ReStoremanager@habitatmontezuma.org for more information. Donations allow the HFHMC ReStore to re-sell high-quality items at lower prices, providing families in the community with an affordable option to furnish their homes, working toward Habitat for Humanity’s vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

This year alone, we have helped a number of individuals within our communities. With the support of loyal donors and shoppers, we will continue to generate additional proceeds to further our mission.

HFHMC ReStore relies heavily on the generosity of donors in the community. 

Habitat for Humanity of Montezuma County started in 2008. Since we have provided affordable home ownership for 10 families. Through our “A Brush with Kindness” program, we provide home repairs that help Montezuma and Dolores County residents stay in a safe home.
